The EMP201 and UIF submissions are generated based on the payroll information for the selected month. It is important to ensure that all relevant pay runs have been completed before completing your monthly submissions.
Why Is My EMP201 Blank?
The EMP201 will remain blank until all relevant pay runs for the selected month have been completed.
Once all applicable pay runs have been completed, the EMP201 will automatically populate with the relevant payroll information.
Is the EMP201 Sent Directly to SARS?
No. The EMP201 is not submitted directly to SARS from the Payroll app.
You can download the EMP201 from the Payroll app and use the values provided on the EMP201 to complete the SARS submission process.
Is UIF Sent to the Department of Employment and Labour?
Yes. When you select Complete Submission for your UIF submission, the submission is sent to the Department of Employment and Labour and the status is marked as Pending.
KarbonPay records the submission date and monitors the submission for a response.
Once a response is received, KarbonPay updates the submission status and completion date accordingly.
