Overview

The Payroll app has been refreshed with a cleaner and more organised layout, making it easier to navigate payroll-related tasks and settings.

While the interface has changed, the underlying payroll functionality remains the same.

Important: The payroll layout has been refreshed, but payroll calculations and existing payroll data have not changed.

You can continue to process payroll, manage pay runs, review payslips, manage loans, process payments, submit payroll information, and configure payroll settings as you did previously.

The Overview Payroll Metrics page, which served as the landing dashboard in the previous version, can now be found within the Payroll app. 

Accessing the Payroll App

  1. Log in to KarbonPay.

  2. Select Payroll from the main navigation menu.

The Payroll app provides access to all payroll-related functions.

Payroll App Overview

The Payroll app is organised into dedicated sections to help you quickly access payroll functions.

Depending on your permissions, you may see:

  • Pay Runs

  • Loans

  • Payments

  • Submissions

  • Payroll Settings

Pay Runs

The Pay Runs section is where payroll processing takes place.

From here, you can:

  • View existing and completed pay runs

  • Process payroll

  • Review payroll information

  • Access employee payslips

  • Review payroll results before finalisation

Accessing Pay Runs

  1. Navigate to Payroll > Pay Runs.

  2. Select the pay run you wish to view.

Reviewing and Approving Payslips

Payslips can be reviewed as part of the payroll process before payroll is finalised.

Depending on your workflow and permissions, you may be able to:

  • Review employee payslips

  • Verify payroll information

  • Confirm payroll results

  • Approve payroll for processing

Downloading Payslips

Payslips remain accessible through the payroll process and can be downloaded whenever required.

To download payslips:

  1. Open the relevant pay run.

  2. Navigate to the Payslips section.

  3. Select the payslip or payslips you wish to download.

  4. Click Download.

You can also use the Bulk Download option to download all payslips from the pay run at once, making it easier to save payslips in a single action.

Loans

The Loans section provides access to employee loan information and payroll-related loan management.

Depending on your permissions, you may be able to:

  • View employee loans

  • Manage loan repayments

  • Email support
