User roles determine what each person can access and manage within the account. The level of access available to a user depends on their assigned role and, where applicable, the companies they have been given access to.
Use the guide below to understand the access available for each user role.
1. Account Owner
The Account Owner has full access to all system features and all companies within the account.
This role has the highest level of access and can manage the account, companies, users, and payroll activities.
2. Account Admin
The Account Admin has full access to administer the account.
This role can manage account-level settings and administration but does not necessarily have the same ownership responsibilities as the Account Owner.
3. Company Admin
The Company Admin has full access to the companies they have been assigned to within the account.
Their access is limited to their assigned companies and does not extend to companies they have not been given access to.
4. Payroll Admin
The Payroll Admin can manage payroll movements and payroll-related activities.
Access may be restricted depending on the permissions assigned to the user and can include activities such as completing pay runs and exporting bank transfers.
5. Payroll Contractor
The Payroll Contractor can manage payroll movements and payroll-related activities.
Access may be restricted depending on the permissions assigned to the user and can include activities such as completing pay runs and exporting bank transfers.
6. Leave Approver
The Leave Approver has access to leave request data only.
This role can view and approve leave requests but does not have access to broader payroll or account administration functions.
Important
User access is determined by the role and permissions assigned to the user. If a user cannot access a particular feature or company, their role or assigned permissions may restrict that access.
